Following the successful solo
exhibition in October 2006, at
the barn at The Bell Inn,
Belbroughton, Worcestershire,
when 100 paintings were sold in
3 days, I opened
The Heywood
Studio in Clent, in early
February 2007.
The Heywood Studio can be found
near to the well known 'Fountain
Inn', in Clent, at the foot of
the Clent Hills.

Ron
Humphries
Having become interested in the
Arts, and at the recommendation
of his art teacher, Ron was
invited to study Fine Art and
Graphic Design at the Birmingham
College of Art. This eventually
led to a career in the
advertising/printing industry.
Throughout his life, however his
main ambition was to work as a
landscape painter, and at the
turn of the century
circumstances allowed him to
take that chance.
His career was given a boost in
2003 when one of his paintings
of the river Teme was selected
for exhibition in the
prestigious Mall Galleries in
London. The exhibition displayed
works by modern British
landscape painters and from over
10,000 applicants his picture
was one of the few selected. The
painting was reproduced in the
Daily Mail weekend supplement
and was subsequently bought by
an American collector.
The bulk of his present work is
sold via an international art
dealer and is in increasing
demand by English people living
abroad; consequently much of his
work is to be found in as
diverse as Southern Spain,
Thailand and Australia.
The
Heywood
Studio
is now an established gallery
for selling Ron Humphries latest
oil paintings.
